Ms. Parvati Jangid Suthar: A 17-Year Journey of Dedicated National Service
The vision behind DEFENCE OBSERVER is inspired by Ms. Parvati Jangid Suthar, widely known as the “Sister of Soldiers,” whose extraordinary 17-year journey of service reflects an enduring commitment to the welfare of India’s Armed Forces, the dignity of military service, and the national ideal of “Surakshit Seema – Samarth Bharat” (Safe Borders – Strong India).
For 17 years, Parvati Jangid Suthar has dedicated herself to strengthening the emotional and cultural bond between the 140 crore people of India and the brave sentinels safeguarding our frontiers. Through sustained journeys to remote border piquets, glaciated forward posts, desert outposts of the Thar, and naval coastal stations, she has conveyed a heartfelt message to our jawans: India remembers your sacrifice, honors your vigilance, and stands resolute with you.
Through the landmark Bharat Raksha Parva Yatra, she has chosen to celebrate Raksha Bandhan and Diwali with soldiers deployed in the most demanding frontier conditions. For her, a Raksha Sutra is not merely a ceremonial thread—it is a sacred symbol of national solidarity and collective gratitude. As Chief Defence Observer, she brings this service-oriented spirit to create a sovereign media platform dedicated to India's defence preparedness, military capabilities, and strategic autonomy.
